Welcome to our Essential Body Building Workshops!
 
These intensive 3-day training classes will equip you with the essential skills needed to build your own guitars from scratch.
 
In the essential Body Building Workshop, you will build on the lessons you learned in level 1 and add in many more aesthetic details to make something really over the top.

In addition to the basic woodworking and glue joint techniques, wood selection, tone wood theory, shaping routing, neck pocket angle & rake, pickups & control routing and layout. You will also learn about adding figured tops, binding, semi-hollow construction techniques, rear routing and wire races, alternate neck pocket designs, multi-laminate glue joints and more.
 
Each participant will produce full-size drawings for use in Workshop 1 and 2. They will study templates to learn about classic shapes, their advantages and drawbacks, and possibly their historical significance. After deep diving into understanding the legacy guitars students will design their own custom body building off the groundwork laid by the past 70 years of guitar design as well as their inner creativity.
 
Students start on practice wood giving them confidence and the perfect opportunity to hone their lutherie skills under the watchful eyes of professional guitar builders.
