Welcome to our Essential Body Building Workshops!
 
These intensive 3-day training classes will equip you with the essential skills needed to build your own guitars from scratch.
 
In the essential Body Building Workshop, you’ll learn tool use & shop safety, basic woodworking and glue joint techniques, wood selection, tone wood theory, shaping routing, neck pocket angle & rake, pickups & control routing and layout and, of course, sanding... Because hates sanding, we will show you some tricks to do it less.
 
Each participant will produce full-size drawings for use in Workshop 1 and 2. They will study templates to learn about classic shapes, their advantages and drawbacks, and possibly their historical significance. After deep diving into understanding the legacy guitars students will design their own custom body building off the groundwork laid by the past 70 years of guitar design as well as their inner creativity.
 
Students start on practice wood giving them confidence and the perfect opportunity to hone their lutherie skills under the watchful eyes of professional guitar builders.
